.NAME Domain Name Registrations

Started in 2001, the .NAME extension is the sole TLD meant for personal sites only. These domains can be personal or fictional names, nicknames and/or other titles people are famous by. Initially, only 3rd-level registrations were possible, so if you planned to acquire john.doe.name, you had to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were liberalized and second-level registrations were also permitted. Already purchased third-level names remained functional.

Through our firm, you can reserve your .NAME domain for an interval between 1 and 10 years. You will be able to edit the WHOIS contact info, to park your domain, to create Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an already registered domain to our firm if you obtain its EPP transfer authorization code from the present registration provider and we will renew it as soon as the transfer has been finalized. There are no particular regulations on who can grab a .NAME domain, but in order to maintain the objective behind its creation alive, the Registry organization may check who the Registrant is and if there is no relation between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration may be challenged.

The .NAME domain extension is amongst the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no extra cost. In this way, your dot NAME domain will be recognized in your country or area with the proper spelling in your native language.
